Dr. Lauren Keith is a human performance specialist experienced in leadership and employee assessment, leadership and management coaching and development, organizational surveys, HR structure and support, and human performance management. Lauren is also an experienced trainer and instructional designer. She has developed and implemented programs across a variety of corporate clients in the areas of effective supervision, communication skills, engagement and accountability, respect in the workplace, enhancing interpersonal interaction, and stress management.

Dr. Keith is also a certified DreamBuilder Coach. In this capacity she enjoys the great pleasure of helping individuals identify what a life they would love living would look like. She is actively involved with the nonprofit group The Rescue House, a cat rescue group in San Diego.

Do You Know (The) SCORE? By Meredith Gronroos

Are you familiar with SCORE? SCORE is a 50-year-old non-profit organization that offers free mentoring, workshops, online resources, and leadership peer groups to business owners and entrepreneurs. The SCORE mentors are former or current business executives who are interested in giving back to their community, or who want to stay involved in the business world after retirement. The services SCORE offers represent an invaluable resource to small business owners and entrepreneurs. SCORE is ‘resource partner’ of the Small Business Administration, which allows them to remain a non-profit and to offer their mentoring services for free. Did I mention ‘free’?

Are you looking for some guidance with your SCORE logobusiness right now? The SCORE website allows you to enter your particular issue into a search field, and produces a list of ‘Email Mentors’ you can consult like the best business pen pal ever. Or, you can enter your zip code, select a topic you want advice on, and see the San Diego roster of mentors available to you ‘in real life.’ Topics include business plans, e-commerce, franchising, government contracting, and on and on. If a business coach has been on your wish list, but out of your budget’s reach, then you owe it to yourself to investigate SCORE mentorship today.
If you’re looking for something specific, workshops are scheduled all month long, live and online, to fit the entrepreneurial schedule. Also, the website is full of resources on running and growing a business that you can access 24/7. There are three pages of videos, podcasts and white papers on business plans alone!
Do your business a favor and know (the) SCORE!
